Managing Director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), Owen Ellington says training for operators of buses under the rural school bus system will begin this Friday. 

He made the announcement at a press conference in Kingston yesterday.

Mr. Owen said the applicants are being vetted by the police. 

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz says the drivers will be trained using the school buses and on the routes they will be traversing.
