The Revenue Department of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) has started sending letters to car dealerships across the municipality to recover outstanding fees for signage and advertisements.

Addressing yesterday’s meeting of the KSAMC, Mayor of Kingston, Andrew Swaby said 188 letters were printed for dispatch with billing applied retroactively for several years.

He added that this is in line with the legal framework for collection.

He said the compliance unit will continue its efforts to collect the outstanding amounts.
