Caregiver facing multiple charges after mummified body of her elderly patient was found at house in Westmoreland

A live in caregiver is facing multiple charges following the discovery of the body of her elderly patient which had been kept in a mummified state for two years.
Dead is Viola Destin, whose age and date of birth have not yet been confirmed.
Police report that Destin died on Tuesday, December 10, 2023.
Her caregiver, 54-year-old Gena Robinson is accused of failing to make a report after the elderly woman died and instead concealing the body inside a room at the house.
On Sunday, July 6 a relative of Destin summoned the police after becoming suspicious.
Ms. Destin’s decomposed remains were found lying on a mattress in a mummified state at her home in Old Hope District, Little London in Westmoreland.
Detectives assigned to the Savanna-la-Mar Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are probing the circumstances that led to the death of the elderly woman.
Ms. Robinson is facing charges of failure to report the death of a person, preventing the lawful burial of a corpse and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
