A vendor was shot and killed along Main Street in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, last night.

Dead is 53-year-old Gerald Small otherwise called Jerry of Commodore Linstead in St. Catherine.

Reports are that at about 11:23pm, Small was selling along the roadway, when a motor car approached and a man alighted and opened gunfire at him, before escaping.

The police were summoned and Small was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.

Small’s death pushes to  26 the number of people  killed in St. Ann since the start of the year.
