Reggae singer Chronixx has put the organizer of the Dry Diggings Festival on blast after being listed as a headliner for the event.

Chronixx reposted the festival flyer advertising him for August 22 with the word “fake” stamped across it.

In a follow-up post, he wrote:

“Now it’s hard to imagine how this festival disorganization even got to this point where my name is a part of their promotion. It exposes a bigger truth about how Jamaican musicians and artists are seen by these crazy groups.”

He added:

“Just so the world knows, Chronixx is independent and the entire Chronixx team is only focused on Chronixx. It is not that we are unreachable… it’s not that we disappeared. This is how we move with precision and purpose.”

Chronixx also questioned the festival’s booking practices, saying:

“We deal with who is meant to be dealt with and we are invisible to everyone else. It leads me to wonder… how were all these other artists booked? What procedures are these festivals and booking/talent agencies following in securing these supposedly ‘big’ reggae names for their events? It is mad what is happening.”

The festival, scheduled for August 22–23 in Auburn, California, is also promoting performances by Anthony B, Yellowman, and Prezident Brown.
