The team of dancehall star Alkaline is pushing back against claims he is inaccessible.
In a statement issued to the media, Alkaline’s publicist, Rickardo Shuzzr described the claims they say were made by a “prominent Jamaican entertainment opinionist” as “unfounded.”
The statement goes on to accuse sections of the Jamaican entertainment media landscape of engaging “ in a reckless campaign to pit artists against one another, all for social hype and clickbait that fuels their ratings.” This, whilst stating that the artiste strategically declines “invitations to appear on these sensationalist programs.”
“Alkaline’s management has consistently made the artist available for bookings, balancing the artist’s public and private life demands” according to the statement.
The statement describes the artiste as selective and strategic, noting “it is essential to recognize that Alkaline is not inaccessible but selective with whom he decides to share his platform and story.”
