Murders continue to decline
Murders continue to decline.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, 322 people were murdered up to Saturday June 21, 244 fewer than in the same period last year.
There were 566 homicides as at June 21, 2024.
The latest tally shows that the St. Andrew South division had the highest number of murders with 43, followed by St. Catherine South with 30.
Trelawny and St. Elizabeth had the least with 6.
The JCF is also reporting that cases of rape declined by 62.
Meanwhile, robberies went up by 9 and break-ins by 96.
