Men’s 4 X 400 metres returns to three rounds for upcoming National Junior and Senior Championships
The Men’s 4 X 400 metres will return to its three round status for the upcoming National Junior and Senior Championships this weekend inside the National Stadium.
This while the local governing body continues to seek opportunities for the unqualified relay teams to gain qualification for the World Championships.
First Vice President of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA)’s and Chairman of the Competitions Committee Ian Forbes made the revelation at the launch of the Championships this morning at the JAAA’a offices in Kingston.
The relay teams will have opportunities to qualify for the World Athletics Championships in Barbados, England and the North Amerian Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Championships in August.
108 events, the highest total ever will be contested by 720 athletes at the June 26 to 29 event, from which athletes will seek places on Jamaica’s teams to the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo Japan in September and NACAC Championships in August.
