Jordan Scott wins Triple Jump at Wanda Diamond League meeting in Paris

Triple jumper Jordan Scott was the lone Jamaican winner at Friday’s Wanda Diamond League meeting in Paris. 

It comes after he produced a best effort of 17.27 metres on his third attempt in the Men’s Triple Jump final to snatch victory from Hugues Fabrice Zango of Burkina Faso who took second in 17.21 metres.

Meanwhile on the track, national record holder Ackera Nugent, coming off a second place finish in Stockholm on Sunday was ended in third place in the women’s 100 meters hurdles, clocking a season best 12.30 seconds. 

The race was won by Grace Stark of the United States who stole the spotlight with a meet record and new personal best 12.21 seconds.

World record holder Tobi Amusan of Nigeria took the runner up spot in 12.24 seconds while Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas clocked 12.53 seconds to finish down the track in sixth.
