Two persons alleged to be involved in gaming scam arrested by St. James Police yesterday
Two persons alleged to be involved in a gaming scam were arrested by the St. James Police yesterday.
This after the operators of a gaming lounge noticed an abnormality with the poker box receipts the two attempted to cash out, and called the police.
Head of the Division Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels said checks revealed that the receipts were fake.
A search of the vehicles the two traveled in yielded machines used to print the fake receipts.
SSP Samuels said investigators theorize that the two persons arrested may be members of a larger syndicate which operates in various parishes.
He is urging operators of gaming lounges to be vigilant.
