Digicel working to restore service in some parishes due to power disruptions from squall line
Telecommunications company Digicel has assured customers that efforts are underway to restore service in several parishes, following power supply disruptions caused by the passage of a squall.
Digicel stated that the adverse weather conditions have affected commercial power supply, resulting in temporary service outages at sites in Trelawny, Hanover, St. James, St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland.
The company said its teams, in coordination with the relevant authorities, are working to prioritise restoration in the affected areas.
As a result, customers may experience challenges making calls and using mobile data services.
Digicel added that it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as they become available.
