Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness is urging Jamaican fathers to play a critical role in preventing their children from being recruited by gangs.
Dr. Holness made the call at a recent Father’s Day event at the Office of the Prime Minister, where he stressed the importance of fatherhood in shaping both families and the nation.
Noting that gangs remain active in the country, the Prime Minister said a father’s role must extend beyond financial support.
Dr. Holness is also urging fathers who are neglecting their responsibilities to desist from doing so.
