St. James police increase activities against lottery scammers
The St. James police have increased activities against lottery scammers.
Operations officer for the St James division, Deputy Superintendent Linroy Edwards, says police made 8 arrests in recent operations.
He says high end vehicles and millions of dollars have been seized so far.
Meantime, there were increased activities against gangs last month.
DSP Edwards states that over the last seven weeks there were only two murders.
He also notes that St James has recorded 23 murders since the start of the year, 50 fewer than recorded in the same period last year.
There is an overall 45 percent drop in major crimes so far.
