PNP President reiterates concern about Jamaica’s stagnant economy
Opposition Leader and Peoples National Party President Mark Golding says Jamaica’s economy is stagnant.
Speaking at the party’s North West St. Ann rally on Sunday evening, Mr. Golding said the government, led by Prime Minister dr. Andrew Holness, has not been able to deliver significant economic growth.
Last month the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) reported that the economy grew by an estimated 0.8% during the January to March 2025 quarter, compared with the corresponding period last year.
Mr. Golding has described the recorded growth as ‘anaemic’.
