An 8-year-old boy is suspected to have drowned at the Copper River Falls in Mount Peace, Lucea, Hanover on Sunday.

Dead is Romaine Beckford of Cash Hill District, Hanover.

Reports are that at about midday, Romaine and a group of persons went to swim in the river when he allegedly got into difficulties and drowned. 

The police were alerted and his body was removed from the water.
