Peace talks in progress over “2 Times” Riddim dispute

What began as a heated dispute over the 2019 Reggae riddim has now shifted tone, as Anthony Cruz reveals he’s working privately to resolve the matter surrounding the track—renamed 2 Times by Khago.

Cruz, who initially raised concerns, says he’s now in dialogue with those involved, including musician and songwriter Fitz Livermore—better known by his alias “Favorite”—who gave the riddim to Khago. According to both Cruz and Livermore, the goal is to reach an amicable resolution.

The 2 Times riddim, produced by Khago, features tracks from himself, D’Angel, and Mr. Vegas, among others. Meanwhile, Anthony Cruz’s original version, released in 2019 via Tads International, included collaborations with Sanchez, Hero, and more.

The riddim in question originates from Mikey Spice’s 2014 track I Am I Said, a reggae rendition of Neil Diamond’s 1971 classic of the same name.
