Popcaan cheers on Reggae Boyz: Spectators celebrate with Masicka’s Whites

Dancehall star Popcaan was among the spectators cheering on the Reggae Boyz as they took on Trinidad and Tobago in a Unity Cup match at London’s GTech Stadium yesterday May 27.

In a clip shared on his Instagram story, Popcaan adopted a Trinidadian accent, jokingly threatening our Caribbean neighbours while urging the Jamaican players to score. As the match progressed, Popcaan’s patriotic spirit shone through, proudly supporting Jamaica’s team in their quest for victory.

The energy was electric, and the Reggae Boyz delivered, securing a thrilling 3-2 win with goals from Kasey Palmer, Rumarn Burrell, and Richard King. The crowd, after the final whistle, erupted in celebration to the infectious beats of Masicka’s Whites.

After the match, Popcaan visited the Reggae Boyz in their changing room and personally congratulated each player, while declaring his continued love for his Trini fans.

The Unity Cup is a four-team tournament featuring top teams from the Caribbean and West Africa namely, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The final match scheduled for May 31, will see the Reggae Boyz battling whichever West Africa team that emerges victorious in today’s match.
