Dancehall fraternity mourns the loss of rising star Mulla
The Jamaican entertainment industry is in shock following the sudden passing of talented young artiste Mulla, born Rajiek Dunkley.
Hailing from Hessen Castle in St Ann, Mulla had been making waves on the dancehall scene. His singles “Got To” and “Wahlahi” were gaining traction with several local content creators featuring them on their playlists. Dancing Rebel created a routine to his song Wahlahi.
His most recent performance saw him taking over the stage at the recently held St Dacre Carnival.
While a cause of death has not been confirmed, reports are that the 21-year-old had been living with sickle cell disease.
The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the dancehall community. The social media page of Club Meca shared a picture of the late dancehall artiste sending condolences to his family while sharing that his music will forever live on at the Hotspot. Additionally several fans have also sent condolences to the friends and family of the late DJ.
