PM Holness says Jamaica must move away from belief that protecting the environment means leaving it untouched
Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness has stated that Jamaica must move away from the belief that protecting the environment means leaving it untouched.
Speaking on the importance of sustainable development at a recent Labour Day event, Dr. Holness emphasized that the country’s natural resources must be used to create wealth, not merely preserved in isolation.
Dr. Holness also noted that 25% of Jamaica’s landmass is now designated as protected.
