The reminder comes as Jamaica celebrates Labour Day today under the theme: “Protect the Environment: Our Land, Our Duty, Our Future.”
Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness has urged citizens to organize and participate in community projects that restore and protect the environment.
He emphasized that collective action is essential to preserve Jamaica’s land and resources for future generations.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Mark Golding echoed the call for environmental stewardship while also advocating for greater institutional accountability.
Jamaicans are participating in various Labour Day projects today aimed at uplifting communities across the island.
