Canada and the United States being engaged to fight on local boxing card in June

The Jamaica Boxing Association is now having discussions with Canada and the United States, with a view to provide continuous competition for local boxers ahead of several regional and international tournaments over the next three years.

Boxers from both countries are expected to compete against Jamaican fighters at the next staging of the Gloves over Guns initiative on June 28 in Portmore.

Just recently,  up and coming fighters from Britain and the Cayman Islands participated in the last edition held at the Stanley Couch Gym in Kingston in April, where  Jamaican boxers claimed four victories with three wins going to their international counterparts

The Jamaica Boxing Association is working to also showcase the country as a hub for Caribbean Boxing and is actively engaging several Caribbean countries in this regard.
