“Enough is enough!”

That was the cry of nurses who gathered near Heroes Circle in Kingston this morning as they issued a strong warning to persons who choose to carry out violent acts against women and girls.

Heroes Circle is one of several locations where demonstrations have erupted.

Speaking with IRIE FM News, President of the Jamaica Enrolled Nurses’ Association, Claudette Clarke Waugh, says she is pleased that charges have been laid in the case of the assault of a colleague last week.

The police have charged 65-year-old Robert Bell.

Mrs. Waugh Clarke said she hopes justice will be served.
