Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness, says the Government has the financing to support a long-term investment in water.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony for the new National Water Commission (NWC) pick-up trucks yesterday, the Prime Minister said his administration has largely solved the fiscal issue in relation to water.

Dr. Holness noted that while the Government embarks on several water projects, citizens who are not yet benefiting should not feel left out.

He said they should instead be assured that the Government has a programme backed by financing that can consistently deliver water.

The Prime Minister further assured that the aim is to equip the homes of all citizens with piped water.

He admitted that even with financial backing, the projects will take time.
