Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer is among those reacting on social media following the death of Giovanni Ellis — the man suspected of raping and murdering 9-year-old Kelsey Ferrigon.

Via Instagram, Bounty Killer wrote in part, “That we a talk ’bout — quick and decisive action. Gash dem and light dem. Thanks to Jamaica and the security forces. Weed out all parasites and old grazmites — full time.”

Ellis, also known as ‘Coolie’ or ‘Coolie Man’, was named a person of interest after Kelsey’s body was found partially nude inside a barrel at her home in Job Lane, Spanish Town. Investigators strongly suspect she was sexually assaulted.

He was reportedly shot and killed during an altercation with police in Clarendon earlier today, May 12.

Kelsey’s murder has sent shockwaves across the country and comes during Child Month, which is being observed under the theme: “Act Now! Stand Against Child Abuse and Exploitation.”
