“We need justice for Kelsey Ferrigon, not revenge” Gender Minister urges collaboration with cops to bring killer to justice

“We need justice for Kelsey Ferrigon, not revenge.”

That’s the reaction from Gender Minister and Member of Parliament for St. Catherine Central, Olivia Grange, as she urged Constituents to work with lawmen to bring the nine-year-old girl’s killer to justice.

Kelsey’s partially naked body was discovered, upside down, inside a barrel at her home along Job Lane, in Spanish Town on Friday evening.

Further reports are that she had been missing for some time, and her brother discovered her body.

She was reportedly beaten and sexually assaulted.

Lawmen have identified a person of interest in the incident – Giovanni Ellis, otherwise called, “Coolie Man‟. He is urged to report to the Spanish Town police immediately.

Minister Grange pledged that the Government will provide support to Kelsey’s family during this time.

She also called on persons with information on the incident to make a report to the police. A $2 million reward is being offered by the Ministry of National Security.
