Prime Minister offers $2m reward for information on murder of teen girl
Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has announced a $2 m reward for information that can aid the investigation into the murder of 14 year old Terona Thomas, last month.
The teen was among three people shot by gunmen along Hill Avenue, off Olympic Way, St. Andrew on April 17.
Terona otherwise called “Tee Tee” of Cinnamon Crescent, Kingston 11 died at hospital, while the 2 males were admitted.
Police theorise that the incident was gang related.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Olympic Way Jamaica eye control centre today, the Prime Minister warned that those responsible for the brutal act will be found.
He said the reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of those involved.
He urged Jamaicans not to protest for alleged criminals.
He said they should stand up and protest for victims like Terona, instead.
