Retired Senior Superintendent of Police and People’s National Party candidate for Kingston Central, Steve McGregor has sought to rubbish claims that the party is not in support of the police. 

This as the PNP supports calls for accountability within the police force, through the use of body-worn cameras. 

There has been wide scale public discourse and also protests over the issue. 

Speaking at a PNP Conference in the Allman Town Division, Mr. McGregor stressed that the party has always stood with the members of the security forces, and remains committed to supporting them, as they protect and serve Jamaica.

He said the PNP wants professionalism, transparency and accountability.
