The new Manager Director of Pulse Investments and daughter of the late Founder Kingsley Cooper, Safia Cooper says she is excited to chart a new chapter for Pulse.
Kingsley Cooper, who co-founded the Pulse entertainment brand more than four decades ago alongside Hilary Phillips, died in June of last year in Florida at the age of 71. By the time of his death, he had firmly carved a path as a pioneer in Jamaica’s modelling and entertainment sector.
Safia recently assumed the role of Managing Director after the resignation of Kingsley’s longtime partner, Romae Gordon.
Speaking with IRIE FM, a confident Safia, who has been at the helm for less than a month, said Pulse has been evolving since her dad’s passing. While admitting her father left large shoes to fill, she says the talent they are bringing onboard is up to the task, rooted in the strong foundation her father left behind.
Romae Gordon stepped down from the post of Co- Managing Director and Company Secretary on March 31 this year. She remains on the board of the company.
