Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness has urged young people to take advantage of opportunities in the economy and stay away from gangs.

Speaking at the opening of a State-of-The-Art Jamaica packaging industry manufacturing facility in Kingston, Holness noted that business operators have long complained about a shortage of skilled labour.

Dr. Holness is encouraging youngsters to take advantage of free skills training at Heart Trust NSTA, as acquiring a skill and getting a job, could save their lives.

He said Jamaica needs its young people to participate fully in the economy now more than ever.
