KSAMC reports improvement in Road March post-cleanup when compared to last year’s staging – CEO Robert Hill

The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) is reporting an improvement in the post-carnival clean-up activities, when compared to last year’s staging of the event.

Speaking to reporters last night after the Road March, Chief Executive Officer Robert Hill said carnival organizers followed through on their pledge to ensure proper garbage collection.

However, he noted that there is still some paint from Saturday’s J’ouvert, which must be cleaned.

Street signs, private properties, the road surface and police cars were defaced.

This resulted in complaints from upset private property owners, who called on the KSAMC for redress.
