Montego Bay Metro expands service in Green Pond, St. James and Green Island, Hanover this morning
Commuters from Green Pond, St. James and Green Island, Hanover had access to public transportation from the Montego Bay Metro Company this morning.
This is in keeping with last month’s announcement by Transport Minister Daryl Vaz that the company would expand its services to cater to more residents in western Jamaica.
The company’s Acting General Manager, Nashu Lelievre, said the Minister provided two new buses to help make the expansion a reality.
He said commuters, especially students, are taking advantage of the cheaper fares on the metro buses.
Mr. Lelievre noted that further engagements and initiatives will be conducted to ensure students travel on the buses, which he said are safer and more reliable.
