Police-court collaboration needed to find effective ways to remove reckless drivers from roads, especially those deemed repeat offenders
A call is being made for the police to collaborate with the courts to find effective ways to remove reckless drivers from the nation’s roadways, especially those deemed repeat offenders.
President of the All Voice Taxi Route Association, Lorraine Finnikin, says cops have been operating within the law to enforce traffic regulations, but reckless drivers remain an issue.
He explains that under the current law, a driver has to accumulate a certain number of points before their license can be suspended.
Mr. Finnikin is hoping that someday, something can be done to remove reckless drivers, especially those taxi operators who are known for their poor and dangerous driving habits.
He is urging the authorities to move proactively to address reckless driving before more lives are lost or harmed.
