Minister of Sports Olivia Grange has applauded the Spanish-American Sport Council for its efforts to promote sport as a tool for development, health, inclusion, education, and gender equality among member countries.

She made the comment on Wednesday at the Iberostar Hotel in St. James where she officially opened the Sport Summit of the Americas. 

The summit which ends on Friday brings together leaders from Ibero-American Sports Council (CID), the Sport Council of the Americas (CAD) and the Central America and Caribbean Sport Council (concecade) to advance sport policy across the region.
