CISOCA raises concern about boys not reporting sexual abuse
By Georgetta Williams
The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is raising concern about the low number of boys who report sexual abuse.
Head of CISOCA Superintendent Kerry-Ann Bailey says boys shy away from reporting sexual abuse because they don’t want to be branded.
She says some boys are sexually exploited when they engage in work at an early age.
Superintendent Bailey says CISOCA is seeking to create a safe environment for victims.
She was speaking on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Force4good podcast.
