Foota Hype is urging fellow entertainers to aim higher, calling on them to sell out arenas and encouraging Dancehall fans to support the genre more actively.

During a recent Instagram Live, Foota Hype acknowledged the epic accomplishments of both Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton on the international stage, but said he had to address the elephant in the room.

In recent times, both Kartel and Buju, who have both served prison time, made history with sold-out shows in New York.

Some attribute the overwhelming support to their long absence, with Buju serving 10 years in the U.S. and Kartel spending 13 years behind bars.
