Vybz Kartel shuts down Barclays twice — “Mi Do It Fi Di Culture!”

“Mi do it fi di culture,” is how Vybz Kartel is responding following his sold-out, historic back-to-back performances at the Barclays Center in New York.

In a post shared to his Instagram account, Kartel doubled down on being the King of Dancehall, thanking his team, the promoter, and MC Nuffy.

With appearances from Lil Kim, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Ne-Yo, Spice, Shenseea, Skillibeng, YG Marley, Rvssian, Jahvinci, Blak Ryno, Kraff, and more, Kartel’s two-night takeover at the Barclays was nothing short of star-studded.

Also spotted at the event were Buju Banton, Power actor Michael Rainey Jr., Elephant Man, Chronic Law, Dexta Daps, and reality star Safaree.

In a now-viral backstage clip, Buju Banton and Kartel shared a powerful moment of unity.

In a major show of respect, Canadian rapper Drake gifted Kartel a custom Alex Moss OVO owl chain. Producer Rvssian also presented Kartel with a custom Alex Moss piece, calling him “a brother, a legend, a friend, and a mentor.”

CJ Milan, promoter of Reggae Fest—the force behind Kartel’s historic shows—thanked the World Boss for trusting her with his first two U.S. performances.

Spice, Shenseea, Jahvinci, Popcaan, and Blak Ryno all congratulated Kartel on his milestone achievements.

Vybz Kartel’s next U.S. show is set for Miami on May 17.
