PM Holness assures residents that plans being made to improve Portmore’s infrastructure as Gov’t seeks to upgrade area into a parish
As the government moves to upgrade Portmore to parish status, Prime Minister Andrew Holness has assured residents that plans are being made to improve the area’s infrastructure.
Speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party Conference in East Central St. Catherine last night, Dr. Holness re-emphasized the raft of developmental plans which, he said, will boost the livelihoods of citizens.
He pointed to plans to develop a new entrance to Portmore and a tech park in the Naggo Head area, among other things.
He also noted plans for 3,000 affordable housing in Portmore – an addition to those units under the Bernard Lodge Project.
