St. Elizabeth is to get a new animal pound by the end of next month.

Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie, made that announcement this morning during the monthly meeting of the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation. 

McKenzie said the pound will help the corporation in efforts to rid the streets of stray animals.
