Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie has expressed concern over vandalism of the bathroom facilities at the Ocho Rios Market in St. Ann.

He stated that it is unacceptable for individuals to destroy improvements made for the benefit of the vendors and the community.

He said plans for the Ocho Rios Market are ongoing.

He toured a section of the Ocho Rios Market yesterday following a fire on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for North East St.Ann, Matthew Samuda has stressed that the issue of vandalism has set back progress and is calling for it to stop. 

He emphasized that efforts will be coordinated to ensure vendors can return to their businesses as soon as possible.
