The Jamaica Scorpions return to winning ways in the regional four Day Championships today, wrapping up a 40 run triumph over West Indies Academy before lunch on the 4th and final day of their 5th round encounter at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Marquino Mindley with three wickets this morning helped to bowl out the West Indies Academy team for 315 after they added 59 to their overnight 256 for 5.
Carlon Bowen-Tuckett 46 overnight went on to get 70 while Joshua Bishop fell for 49.
Mindley ended with 3 for 46, while Ojay Shields took 2 for 51, Jeavor Royal 2 for 77 and Brad Barnes 2 for 80.
Final scores West Indies Academy 211 and 315, Jamaica Scorpions 375 and 191
The win takes Jamaica Scorpions to 5th place on 59.8 points .
Guyana Harpy Eagles continue to sit at the top of the standings with 102.6 points, followed closely by the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 101, with the Leeward Islands Hurricanes on 79 in 3rd and 4th is Barbados pride in 78 points.
