Approximately 200 pounds of ganja was discovered in Slipe, St. Elizabeth yesterday.

This follows a successful operation by the Proactive Investigation Unit, PIU.

The seizure came less than 24 hours after the unit received a new service vehicle. 

According to police reports, at around 2:00 pm, the PIU noticed a group of men who fled in different directions upon the police’s approach, leaving behind several bags of marijuana.

No arrest was made in relation to the discovery.

Investigations are ongoing.
