The music industry showed up in full force on Saturday night to pay respects to the late Determine.

Sean Paul, Bounty Killer, Popcaan, Kabaka Pyramid, Jesse Royal, New Kidz, Tarrus Riley, Tanya Stephens and others gathered at Rebel T HQ in Kingston to commemorate his life.

While the Kingston event organized by Determine’s son Runkus was a success, tragedy struck at a candlelight vigil organized by family members in St. Mary, where Determine was from. Reports indicate that a policeman allegedly shot and killed a man after a tussle. Investigations are ongoing.

Determine, best known for his 1995 hit Kette Drum featuring Beenie Man, passed away on February 13 from stomach cancer.
