Industry players have been sending support to renowned songbird, Ikaya after she shared that she was on a healing journey, having spent her February 5 birthday in pain, with limited mobility in hospital, surrounded by beeping machines and sterile walls.

In a recent video shared by the singer’s, official TikTok account, Ikaya is seen taking slow, cautious steps with the assistance of a walker in what appears to be a hospital room.

While she did not disclose the nature of her illness, the Ain’t Giving Up singer’s caption spoke about life’s unpredictability being overwhelming, and the lesson she learnt about cherishing every moment. She further shared that she was taking it one day at a time, finding strength in the darkness and gratitude in the support that surrounds her.

The post has garnered a myriad of well wishes from industry players, including Tifa, who commented, “get well soon, Stacious who wrote, Speedy recovery hon, God’s blessings and protection on you.” Gospel singer, Jodian Pantry also wished the singer a speedy recovery adding that she hoped whatever Ikaya is going through will not impact her health negatively.

Seanizzle, Cham, Pamputtae and Morgan Heritage were among the Ikaya’s other colleagues who wished her a speedy recovery, flooding the comments with encouraging words accompanied by the praying hand and heart emojis.  

Meanwhile, Ikaya in a separate post says she’s blown away by the overwhelming support being received for her new single Walking Miracle, a soul-stirring track produced by ZJ Liquid which speaks to resilience, faith, and triumph over life’s obstacles.
