China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) will begin road works under the SPARK programme in the Corporate Area this week.

CHEC has been contracted by the government to carry out the 45 billion-dollar Shared Prosperity Through Accelerated Improvement to Our Road Network programme.

Speaking in the Lower House of Parliament today, Works Minister Robert Morgan noted that the infrastructure activities slated for this week form part of Work Order One, the first phase of the programme.

Mr. Morgan said Work Orders 2 and 3 will begin between this month’s end and next month.

All three work orders should be completed by June.
