Prime Minister Andrew Holness met with representatives of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, (IMF) parliamentary network on Monday.

In a social media post, Mr. Holness said he had insightful discussions on the evolution of Jamaica’s economy with the representatives who are on a field trip to the island.

The prime minister said the country’s economic journey has been one of resilience and transformation.

He noted that Jamaica, which was once burdened by high debt, now stands as a model of economic reform in the region.

Mr. Holness said the IMF and World Bank played a critical role in the transformation.
