Tyreek Magee joins Reggae Boyz squad for upcoming friendly matches against Trinidad and Tobago
Attacking midfielder Tyreek Magee has been added to the Reggae Boyz squad as they prepare for their upcoming friendly series against Trinidad and Tobago. The squad is set to assemble today, ahead of the two-match series.
Magee, who has reportedly returned from Europe, was recently in action with Vere United in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL), where his team was narrowly defeated 2-1 by defending champions Cavalier on Monday.
He returned to the Jamaican setup, after an eleven-month absence, in October 2024 for the Concacaf Nations League Group B contest against Nicaragua in Managua.
The 28-member Jamaica squad, which is predominantly made up of local players, features a strong presence from the top teams in the JPL. The defending champions, Cavalier, and current league leaders, Mount Pleasant, who have contributed a combined total of 15 players.
The Reggae Boys will train on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s encounter. Afterward, they will head to Montego Bay on Friday for further preparations, before returning to Kingston on Saturday for Sunday’s match at the Anthony Spalding Sports Complex.
Meanwhile, the Trinidad and Tobago team has already arrived on the island and will hold their training session at Mount Pleasant Academy.
