The Cayman Island National junior boys and girls teams will be among the competitors, and some 15 championship events will highlight the 31 relays on the programme at this year’s staging of the Gibson/McCook relays at the National Stadium on February 22.

The meet which was launched on Thursday, is in it’s 48th staging and will feature 9 individual events including the eagerly awaited men’s and women’s 60 meters dash which is expected to be a show stopper. 

Meanwhile, the record breakers of any championship event will be awarded seventy five thousand dollars, while the most outstanding high school, both male and female will walk away with one hundred thousand dollars. 

The meet which is rankd as a TIer Two Meet by Track and Field’s world governing body, World Athletics is a qualifier for the annual ISSA/Boys and Girls Athletics Championship .

The 2025 renewal of the meet gets underway at 9 am, with the opening ceremony set for 3 pm, while the finals gets underway at 4 o’ clock.
