Police maintaining order in Spanish Town, St.Catherine following flare up of violence
The Jamaica Constabulary Force says its officers are maintaining order in Spanish Town, St. Catherine following a flare-up of violence in the area.
Upset residents blocked several roadways and set fire to at least one business place in response to the fatal shooting of alleged One Order gang leader Othneil Lobban, otherwise called “Thick Man”.
Lobban was shot dead by police in St. Andrew last night.
Head of the Constabulary’s Communications Network, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay said the situation in Spanish Town is under control.
She noted that special operations were conducted in the area today.
