Firefighters have extinguished a fire which erupted along the Palisadoes Main Road in Kingston today.

The Jamaica Fire Brigade said it was alerted about the blaze at approximately 7:19 A.M.

Commissioner Stewart Beckford said the fire began as a rubbish fire and spread quickly to an open area.

He said firefighters from two stations responded and extinguished the blaze.
