47 Schhols for 2025 ISSA/TIP Friendly High School Girls’ Football Competition

The stage is set for an action-packed 2025 ISSA/TIP Friendly High School Girls’ Football Competition, with a total of 47 schools confirmed to take part in this year’s tournament. Among the competing teams is defending champion Excelsior, who will be aiming to retain their title when the competition officially kicks off on February 11.

Excelsior, based on Mountain View Avenue, have been drawn in Zone F, which will be a highly competitive group. Alongside Excelsior are former champions St. Jago, Tivoli Gardens, Ardenne, Campion College, Waterford, Denham Town, and Immaculate.

Holmwood Technical, who were narrowly defeated in last season’s final, will be looking to bounce back stronger than ever. The team will compete in Zone B, where they will face off against Belair, Alphansus Davis, Bishop Gibson, Decarteret College, Winston Jones, Mile Gully, and Manchester High. Holmwood’s resilience and experience in high-pressure matches make them one of the favorites to go deep in this year’s tournament.

Garvey Maceo Looking to Improve

Garvey Maceo, who finished in third place last season, will enter Zone A with high hopes of securing a better position this time around. Their opponents in this zone include Glenmuir, Central, Foga Road, Kemps Hill, Old Harbour, Vere Technical, and Greater Portmore. With strong leadership and a tactical approach, Garvey Maceo is sure to put up a fierce challenge.
